About Ted Dunne Entertainment |
Ted Dunne started out in the entertainment business as a DJ in 1975, playing in the Top Hat Ballroom in Fermoy, County Cork. Here he was the resident DJ every Friday and Sunday playing before bands like Joe Dolan and the Drifters, Brendan Boyer and the Big 8, Dickie Rock and Miami Showband, Horseslips, Big Tom, and many more. Over the years Ted established himself on the nightclub and dance hall circuit right across Ireland, and quickly became regarded as one of the best know DJs in the country. |
Such was the demand for Ted, he successfully secured residencies in many of the top nightclubs playing regularly in clubs such as Swingers in Cork, Carousel in Limerick, Route 66 in Galway, Spiders in Offaly, Banna Beach in Tralee, Easy Street in Nenagh, Flamingos in Abbeyfeale, Secrets in Macroom, The Coach Inn in Limerick, Xandus in Newcastle West, and Norma Jeans in Cork. |

|
Ted was also now DJing at many of the most prestigious events nationwide including performances at The Rose Of Tralee, The Eurovision in Millstreet, The Ford Week Regatta in Crosshaven, The Tall Ships Festival in Waterford, The Guinness Gig Rig, The Listowel Races, and many more. |
In 1985, Ted became so busy that he could not cover all the venues and events that he was now requested to play at, and so he decided to set up a professional DJ agency. Ted Dunne Entertainment was subsequently formed; starting with Ted and two other DJs covering between ten to twelve gigs a week. |
Now Ted Dunne Entertainment has over 60 DJs performing at thousands of venues and functions throughout Ireland each and every year. Adapting with music trends and technology, Ted Dunne Entertainment now has professional DJs from every era, covering music genres right across the decades past and also the most up-to-date dance and club DJs. Having grown over the years and with such a proven track record, Ted now supplies regular DJs for bars, clubs, hotels, Christmas shows, weddings, all types of birthday parties and private functions, teenage discos, themed nights, graduation and debs balls, children’s parties, karaoke nights and any other event at which a DJ is required. |
